HSI HandsHQ and O.C.O Technology Shortlisted for IOSH Supplier of the Year Award 2026

We’re pleased to share that HSI HandsHQ and O.C.O Technology have been shortlisted together for the IOSH Supplier of the Year Award 2026. The recognition reflects a successful partnership that has helped O.C.O Technology strengthen workforce competency, compliance and operational safety.

The IOSH Awards recognise excellence, innovation and measurable impact across occupational safety and health. With entries independently judged by experts from across the profession, the awards highlight individuals, teams and organisations whose work is making a meaningful difference to working lives.

HSI are proud to be sponsoring The Construction Award category. Good luck to those shortlisted. Winners will be announced at the IOSH Awards ceremony on 24 September 2026 at Hilton London Bankside.

The Partnership Behind the Shortlisting

The Supplier of the Year category recognises organisations that combine specialist expertise, technology and collaboration to deliver meaningful improvements in occupational safety and health.

O.C.O Technology is a leader in carbon capture and utilisation, transforming thermal residues into sustainable construction products across multiple UK sites. As operations expanded, spreadsheet-based training records became harder to review, report on and use to identify competency gaps.

Building a Stronger Compliance Framework

O.C.O Technology selected HSI HandsHQ to centralise training records and strengthen competency management across its sites through the digital Training Register. The solution provides readily accessible and auditable evidence of workforce competence, helping the organisation support its integrated management system and demonstrate compliance with its permit requirements more efficiently.

Working closely together, both teams supported a smooth implementation and strong adoption. HSI HandsHQ helped validate, cleanse and structure existing training data, while tailored user training supported the transition. Automated competency tracking and tailored eLearning have since created a more efficient and proactive approach to workforce development.

Delivering Measurable Results

  • 50% reduction in time spent reviewing training records and producing reports
  • Improved visibility of workforce competency and compliance, helping managers identify training gaps more proactively
  • Simplified audit preparation and reporting processes
  • More streamlined training administration, reducing manual effort and freeing up time for higher-value work

Celebrating Industry Recognition

This shortlist recognises the strength of the partnership and the measurable difference it has delivered. We’re grateful to IOSH for acknowledging the work, and we wish every shortlisted individual, team and organisation the very best of luck.

We look forward to celebrating the achievements of the wider occupational safety and health community at the awards ceremony in London on 24 September 2026.
