Donesafe is a rapidly growing startup that is looking for a skilled Rails developer to take initiative in designing and implementing solutions to complex enterprise requirements, in order to protect the health and safety of hundreds of thousands of end users.

Description of role

Along with a team of like-minded technologists, you will work closely with the product manager and founders to plan the development roadmap, guide software architecture, design solutions, implement new software components, and refactor and extend the existing Rails application as appropriate. We follow the SCRUM development methodology, perform code reviews, use automated testing, and have a very flat team structure that encourages technical input from everyone.

Minimum requirements

  • Strong Object-Oriented software design skills
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • 2+ years experience with Ruby and Rails
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience
  • Proficient with SQL, Javascript, git, and automated testing

  • Dev Ops and automation

  • React or other Javascript frameworks
  • Offline app development
  • Exposure to functional and system languages
  • Open-source software contributions
  • Entrepreneurial experience
